The UT MD Anderson Cancer Center Zayed Building is the newest research facility on the campus of the world’s leading cancer research institution. The 12-story, 615,000 sf building features two laboratory wings and two office wings surrounding a central core. An exterior corridor connects the two research wings, maximizing the interior laboratories’ flexibility to accommodate new and evolving methodologies and technologies. The two lab wings are connected to two adjacent office wings by a central collaboration space. The first phase of the project included the building core and shell, and interior build-out of two floors of laboratories and one floor of clinical space, along with offices, conference rooms, and building support spaces.
